The excitement is starting to build!
As more people hear about the vision of the capital campaign, anticipation is rising. On Sunday, about 300 attended one of the services, and I heard from multiple people, “Wow, it was hard to find a parking spot today.” I’d chuckle and say, “Don’t worry. We’ve got a plan for that!”
Our vision is to replace the manse with 30 additional parking spots (including close-by handicapped parking) so that there will always be a place for you.
Additionally, I continue to reflect on the incredible growth of the children’s program over the past year. For example, the 4:30 pm Children and Families Christmas Eve service was our largest, with 285 people (265 at 7 pm and 76 at 11 pm). I am thrilled with the many families who are finding community at Unity.
Our vision is to invest in the children’s program through a renovated playground area. After all, these kids need to run off their energy somewhere! 🙂
There are three more opportunities to learn about the incredible projects being planned for Unity.
Tonight at the Wednesday Night Dinner (5:45 pm)- all are welcome, and no RSVP is needed. This will be an informal presentation, and you can come and go as needed (to choir practice, youth group, etc). Plus, the menu includes a turkey and ham dinner. How better to warm up on a cold, rainy day?
February 23— lunch after church. (12:00 pm). This lunch requires an RSVP. Sign up in the Gathering Area or email Cynthia Mashburn at cynthia.mashburn@gmail.com. Child care will be provided. This presentation will last until 1:30 pm.
March 2— breakfast (8:30 am). No RSVP is needed. Enjoy breakfast by Jack and the Crew and hear about the capital campaign.
We hope you’ll be able to make one of these presentations. If you can’t, feel free to contact someone on the Capital Campaign Team to learn more.
This is an exciting time in the life of this church. I am glad you are a part of it!
