Our Legacy, Our Future: Faithfully Together

Welcome to the next exciting step in our journey! God continues to do new things at Unity, and you are a vital part of it!

When Unity started in 1764, no one could imagine what it would look like in 2025. What began as a group of pioneers creating the very first church in Denver has become a vibrant community of over 600 people. Whether you’ve been a member of Unity for a couple of weeks or many years, this story is yours, too.

Twenty years ago, God gave our church a dream for a new sanctuary and fellowship hall. This church realized Denver was on the precipice of tremendous growth and wanted to be prepared to welcome everyone. The addition to our campus has been an incredible asset in our ability to minister to Denver.

Now, the dream continues…

Psalm 100 shares the ways God can be counted upon through each generation. It says, “For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; God’s faithfulness continues through all generations.” (Psalm 100:5). We seek to build upon the faithful work of earlier generations in order to respond to what God calls us to today.

Expanded Parking
Currently, we have 88 parking spots. This amount no longer meets the needs of our growing church. By replacing the manse with parking, we can add up to 30 spots. This will allow us to offer more desirable handicapped parking, an enhanced drop-off/pick-up area for our pre-school, and enough parking spots for our busier Sundays. We want everyone to feel like “they’ve got room for me” when coming to church.

Campus Upgrades
The Children and Youth Center was built in the 1970s. It is used by our growing children and youth programs, preschool, boy and girl scouts, yoga, and community groups. It needs renovations to its bathrooms, electricity, and lighting.

The playground needs an upgrade to accommodate the growth of our preschool and children’s programs. Additionally, the old chapel has been closed since 2007. The old offices and chapel are no longer useable and it is time to remove them. This will open up space for future use.

Retire the Loan
Over $10,000 is paid toward the mortgage every month, which could otherwise fund ministry. It is time to pay off this debt once and for all.

The Legacy Fund
Our sanctuary and fellowship hall are now 20 years old. It is time to establish a Legacy Fund that will go towards long-term building maintenance. This fund will be used primarily for major repairs and maintenance projects (i.e., repaving parking lots, replacing A/C units, replacing roofs when needed, etc).

No one is under compulsion to give. Unity is centered on the grace of God and believes no one should ever feel pressure to give. Giving is an act of faith. Our Legacy, Our Future provides an opportunity to trust God with our resources. No gift is too big or too small when it is proportionate to one’s capability and sacrificial to one’s standard of living. Giving is an expression of praise to God. Together we enter God’s gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. May Our Legacy, Our Future provide you with an opportunity to connect more deeply with the love of God.
