We are in the home stretch of our stewardship campaign! This Sunday, Nov. 12, concludes our stewardship season.
Thank you to everyone who has already turned in an estimate of giving! Your gifts enable Unity to be Jesus’ hands and feet in our community.
Last year Unity had 151 total committed contributions after the campaign. A committed contribution is either an estimate of giving or an online recurring gift. As of today, we currently have 124 total committed contributions for 2024.
That means if we receive 27 estimates of giving by this Sunday, we will match our total from last year. If we receive more than 27, we will exceed our total from last year.
As of right now, we are seeing a 3% increase in giving on the estimates received. Thank you! These increases allow us to expand our ministry and mission in Denver, Lincoln County, and around the globe. As a church, we never want to remain static. We must continually be moving forward toward God’s vision for the world.
If you haven’t had time to fill out your estimate of giving yet, you can do so here: https://unitypres.elvanto.net/form/31381eda-dd5f-4747-a524-dae95c13611d.
Or you can fill one out this Sunday and put it in the box.
After this Sunday the session, in partnership with the Finance Committee, will gather all of the estimates and create Unity’s 2024 budget. This budget supports mission activities such as helping a family of refugees restart their lives and sharing God’s love with over 100 kids at VBS. The 2024 budget will be presented to the congregation in January at the annual meeting.
But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
–2 Corinthians 8:7
God has done incredible work through this community of faith in 2023. The world needs churches like Unity to be strong and thriving. I am confident that God will continue to expand our opportunities to transform the world in Jesus’ name in 2024.
Let’s finish this season strong! Thank you for your support!
This Sunday we’ll continue our series on Church Words.
Sunday’s Church Word: Sovereignty.
This is a tough one! What is your definition?
See you on Sunday!
